a killer clubby groove from steve marshall û the kind that reminds us of the best indie singles from the late 70s disco years! steve plays alto sax here over a strutting, high stepping rhythm thats got plenty of warm touches û really glowing with a sense of soul thats great, and touched by some female chorus vocals that are very much in a philly mode! the disco mix is great û even more upbeat and extended than the 45 groove. in the country is a great bit of club jazz û smooth and sweet, but still with a snakey flute line in the middle û almost like some lost bobbi humphrey track from her epic years. do what you will is another chorus vocal number û and you are the world features some laidback mellow flute.

nice price deal !!! essential & deep album by the man monoder aka jussi pekka! timeless beauty ! monoder. born in the cold north among industrial warehouses, people wearing only gray and random rabbits crossing the streets. his home town has two-lane streets which were made for the mass movement that never happened. physically close to civilization but mentally light years away. with the economic regression hitting hard, the town is filled with unemployed and old people wandering the streets and trying to find out what went wrong. like zombies of a mental desert. monoder. though the name sounds familiar, he has nothing to do with italodisco or electropop. the music, as the name, is filled with cold, stripped down and hypnotic atmospheres. taking you on a trip filled with hunger, cold breeze, forests and frozen tundra. the studio is on the roof-level of abandoned rubber factory, where disillusioned entrepreneurs try to get their daily bread doing what ever. moist pushing from the sealing and walls. water dripping during the mixdown. someone pulling cargo in the hallway.

the official nightmare outdoor - tha last daylight anthem. this sure is a damn good anthem by tha playah & neophyte.they made a track with real raw kicks and a stunning melody what will cause some explosive hysteria on the dance floor!on the b-side you will find the very wanted track klaar om te rossen which appeared on the last evil activities album in 2008.

big with: richie hawtin, dubfire, dj hell, mandy, dj t, james what, ralph lawson... well what can we say, two tracks that could not be more different from well know mainz/ germany based artist butch aka bülent gürler. the a side >destruction< is a track that so perfectly fits into the scene of german minimal house, we think it will be eaten up immediately by the dj scene. the flipside track >muskatnuss< is more challenging and made for the advanced djs. this track is weird, funky, housey and more on the side of the new school of house we get nowadays from cecille and similar labels. the track makes use of samples from butchs most sought after sample libaries that include fantastic cartoon sounds he has cut up and arranged rhythmically. a stunning performance!

clone v2.0! clone back in its new form.. a series of specialized series dedicated to different functionalities, emotions and styles of electronic music. the clone loft series will be releasing more traditional house and ny influenced disco for the smaller and more intimate club settings. first of reggie dokes with probably his best release so far! a-side is a dirty but massive house track that goes down very well in any house set! at first notice this might be the main track... which most likely it is for more peak-time use... but actually our favorite is the fierce i wear the mask track on the flipside. this track has a nice jumpy beat, very light... but such a balanced rhythm that it will grab one for sure. on top it has layers of strings and a bouncy bassline and very staccato keys... and everything is so well balanced, so sensitive that it really gives us goosebumps all over! it reminds even to some derrick may tracks where he managed to make his songs emotional and fragile with the same kind of timbre and hidden energy (but then less 909 orientated and such...) it has that force, that gentle force of magic that frees that inner energy, that inner power that makes you wanna dance. what a stunning track and what a strong release by mr dokes. essential!

wack label owner, s.m.o.v utilizes certain parts of a some what classic indie tune from the 1980s and has crafted it with r&b singer, d angelo, together with some super heavy jazzy boss nova drumming to create another wack classic cut. basement freaks - the greeks are generally known for growing olives and smashing plates, but basement freaks are smashing dancefloors instead as they step straight outa greece with this explosive latin break beat bomb!

abusing our soft side for dub edgar 9000 gave us these compelling tracks.>play me minus three (patience vs. epiphany mix)< û what starts like a nicely arranged minimal tune bubbles and billows after a short pause up to a big ride on the acid-dub-ghost-train. at the latest when the decently deployed and gated french horn pad sets in on the second half you are completely lost. not for quick peep û but beware: danger of addiction of endless playing is definitely given.meanwhile the title >hook & bait< of the b-side rather reads like the basic principle of fishing. it really sounds like the classic principle of ambient à well almost, since in this case this ambient track is drifting along itself, underlined with a straight driving and floating rhythm fed by an earthly bassline.petri heil! (as we say in krauts-country)
